For our second installment of our artist edition sock series, we turned to our friends Jessica and Clark, incredibly talented Los Angeles based photographers who operate a studio called The Collaborationist.
Their inspiration for these socks came from the power and majesty of Hawaiian volcanos and the seemingly magical way light transforms them. To capture this moment as completely as possible, we're excited to offer The Collaborationist Sock in six colorways to match any mood or style.
These men's socks are sumptuous: the footbed has extra cushioning! They also have the durability you’ve come to expect with just the right amount of compression in the arch for added support. Get some of these puppies on yer feet now!
Wool is pretty amazing; it wicks sweat better than any synthetic, keeping you cool and dry in the summer and warm in colder weather. Wool is also naturally anti-bacterial so, unlike polyester, the socks won’t smell after repeated use. And! Wool keeps you warm even when wet, so go ahead and jump through that stream!

GENERAL NOTES ON FIT
for swrve bottoms, we strive to be as true to size as possible. most other companies offer vanity sizing, but with us, a 32 means the waist circumference of the garment is 32". we update our size guides to provide the current sizing per garment frequently.
if you have trousers of which you like the fit, measure the waist and that is the swrve size! to measure the waist, lay them flat and make sure the front and back of the waistband lay evenly across each other, then measure from side to side (fold to fold on the inside), multiply by 2 (there are 2 layers of fabric) and voilà, you’ve got your measurement.
for swrve tops, please note our fit is a slimmer European fit similar to American Apparel's fit
Los Angeles curbside pick up is a free option to come pick up your order at our Headquarters in Glassell Park :) We'll email you the moment your order is packed up with all info needed!
FREE Priority USPS shipping with your $135 order, or $5 shipping under $135.
for other options, shipping cost is determined by the package weight and destination.
for domestic (US) customers USPS Priority is usually the fastest, least expensive option. to get an accurate shipping cost, please add the items to your cart and enter your mailing address at check out, the system will give you an estimate for shipping with various USPS and UPS options.
for international customers we suggest using DHL as it tends to be the best deal. We offer $25 DHL shipping with your minimum $150 order. It will arrive at your doorstep, regardless of where you are in the world, within 5 business days, and you get to track it as it makes its way to you. USPS Priority and First Class Mail may be a bit less expensive, but they have a higher tendency to lose packages. Please note that we are NOT responsible for lost packages! UPS rates tend to be rather exorbitant and you may be faced with a custom brokerage fee NOT included in the shipping rate.
international customers: please note that you may be charged additional customs duty fees at delivery NOT included in the shipping rate. these fees vary widely from country to country and there is nothing we can do to prevent them.
attention Canadian customers! our system will offer you UPS as a shipping option that may seem attractive, but we suggest NOT using UPS for orders going to Canada as they sometimes present you with a separate and additional customs clearance bill (on top of the customs duty) for $50 or more. eek!

These socks fit great, are durable, and look awesome as well. The story behind the design is simple and well executed. Launder as directed and these should last quite some time!
These socks are exteremely comfortable and look great too! The construction is of the highest quality and I love the simplicity of the storytelling design. I have even washed and dried them, inside out, and they have held up pretty well (minor pilling). But if you follow the laundering instructions they will probably last a very long time! Thanks Swrve Team!
My biggest pet peeve are socks that slide down during the day, having to constantly pull them up. Despite these socks' slightly shorter length, they deal with this problem in an interesting way. The merino wool is so comfy and temperature-regulating, that I didn't even notice them on my feet all day. They're very cool & dry, during normal office or urban use. At the end of the day, they were still hiked up where they should be, although again, they are a lower-calf length. Also really appreciate how the color designs are woven into them, not printed onto the fabric. A highest-quality sock - now I gotta get them all.
Nearly perfect merino socks, but seem to run small
I've owned a lot of merino wool socks from many different brands. After five months of wear, these are head and shoulders above any of the others that I've had. They're incredibly comfortable, and so far appear nearly unworn from a durability perspective. Plus, they look great. But I still have one minor complaint: they seem to run small. I'd suggest sizing up, unless your shoe size is at the very bottom of the range. I will buy more, and would recommend to friends.
Fresh style that's packed with performance
I have a tradition (really, it's more of a combination of superstition and a desire for comfort in misery) that any big event (bike race, triathlon, etc) deserves a fresh pair of socks. I picked up a few pairs of The Collaborationist Socks for a week of hiking in Yosemite and 40+ miles later am pleased to report my feet remained blister-free and comfortable the entire time. The merino wool footbed provides ample cushioning while the upper half is thin enough not cause any issues with overheating, even on 85 degree days. And in the event of water crossings, the socks dry quick too and the naturalness of merino helps keep any potential funkiness at bay. The socks in the pic went straight out of the package to a 15 mile hike. It's so good to have gear you can trust.
