GENERAL NOTES ON FIT
for swrve bottoms, we strive to be as true to size as possible. most other companies offer vanity sizing, but with us, a 32 means the waist circumference of the garment is 32". we update our size guides to provide the current sizing per garment frequently.
if you have trousers of which you like the fit, measure the waist and that is the swrve size! to measure the waist, lay them flat and make sure the front and back of the waistband lay evenly across each other, then measure from side to side (fold to fold on the inside), multiply by 2 (there are 2 layers of fabric) and voilà, you’ve got your measurement.
for swrve tops, please note our fit is a slimmer European fit similar to American Apparel's fit
Los Angeles curbside pick up is a free option to come pick up your order at our Headquarters in Glassell Park :) We'll email you the moment your order is packed up with all info needed!
FREE Priority USPS shipping with your $135 order, or $5 shipping under $135.
for other options, shipping cost is determined by the package weight and destination.
for domestic (US) customers USPS Priority is usually the fastest, least expensive option. to get an accurate shipping cost, please add the items to your cart and enter your mailing address at check out, the system will give you an estimate for shipping with various USPS and UPS options.
for international customers we suggest using DHL as it tends to be the best deal. We offer $25 DHL shipping with your minimum $150 order. It will arrive at your doorstep, regardless of where you are in the world, within 5 business days, and you get to track it as it makes its way to you. USPS Priority and First Class Mail may be a bit less expensive, but they have a higher tendency to lose packages. Please note that we are NOT responsible for lost packages! UPS rates tend to be rather exorbitant and you may be faced with a custom brokerage fee NOT included in the shipping rate.
international customers: please note that you may be charged additional customs duty fees at delivery NOT included in the shipping rate. these fees vary widely from country to country and there is nothing we can do to prevent them.
attention Canadian customers! our system will offer you UPS as a shipping option that may seem attractive, but we suggest NOT using UPS for orders going to Canada as they sometimes present you with a separate and additional customs clearance bill (on top of the customs duty) for $50 or more. eek!

Exceptional value and long-lasting
I’ve purchased five pairs of trouser shorts during the past eight years. Three of them are still going strong and have plenty of life left. In addition to literally living in them during the warmer months, they see anywhere from 50 to 100 miles in the saddle every day via my delivery job. One pair actually served as my primary riding shorts during a four month, 4k mile bikepacking trip that began in the upper-Midwest and ended at the bottom of Mexico’s Baja peninsula. That specific pair is among the three pairs I own that are still going strong. There are many reasons why I love Swrve’s creations, but the diamond gusseted, triple chain-stitched crotch on their shorts, knickers, and pants is the best feature for someone like me. Considering the length of time that mine have lasted, they are an exceptional value.
Great materials & quality, questionable fit
The shorts are great materials and quality throughout. Though I'm unsure how much these were prototyped prior to signing off on the design. For shorts of this price and intended caliber there are a few misses... The pen pockets of the right and left front pockets make the primary pocket too narrow thus is painful to get out hand in (I'm average-slim), which hurts the back of your hand/veins. The zipper on the back pocket starts late and ends early...again small opening and looks odd not making use of the hemmed opening by tucking the stops under as I e seen in virtually all other garments. The no stretch waist I can't see how this is a positive feature as advertised. There is no give therefore mobility is somewhat limited since the fabric doesn't give. Lastly the pen pocket is stitched down beside each front pocket and causes an unsightly bump out where it meets the leg of the short. Keep in mind all these observations are after wearing them a few days when received without washing. And a few days after first and second washes.
New favorite Swrves
These are great fitting shorts. Super comfortable and durable. I’ve worn the durable cotton shorts for years. These are even better due to their lighter weight and quick drying. I look forward to riding many miles in these. Thanks Swrve!
I’ve bought a couple of pairs of the transverse shorts (black and blue). At 6’5”, I’m always looking for longer shorts that are stylish enough to wear out in public and flexible enough to wear around the yard. Oddly, the blue version was about 1/2 inch shorter than the black (that’s a negative). Function wise they work well. I’d likely rethink the velcro that keeps the left rear pocked closed - perhaps do something with a snap button instead. There are times when you’d want the pocket to be open (like when you’ve got a hankie in it) and times when you’d want it closed. With velcro, it’s always closed. Otherwise a good first start - a couple of minor changes (velcro closure, manufacturing consistency)and we’re there.
My favorite shorts
I had to order a size larger than I usually wear, but I absolutely love these shorts. They are attractive and easy to perform any task in.
